Midsummer Fayre 2025 in pictures – with more performers than ever!

The 2025 Midsummer Fayre took place on 14th June and – defying forecasts of heavy showers and even storms – we barely saw a drop of rain all day.

Hundreds of performers took part this year – more than ever, in fact – with acts including The Animal Man, Severn Valley Stompers Jazz Band, the Iron Men and Severn Gilders, Shrewsbury Brass, Over My Head Puppets, The TACT Choirs, ToriArts, the Master Drew the Games Master, Odd Socks Ceilidh Band, Hadley Orpheus Male Voice Choir, The Telfordaires, the W.I. Ukuladies, Wrekin View School Choir and Vocabella. Simon Airey, the Animal Man, was a huge hit with children and it was an honour to host him on what was his final public appearance before retiring after 30 years educating and entertaining.

We’re grateful to all our volunteers – most of them from All Saints Church – for ensuring the day ran so smoothly, and to our sponsors for their financial support: Paveways Construction, our main sponsor; Anthony’s of Wellington and Rowton Brewery; and our constant supporter Wellington Town Partnership.

Here are some images from the day.
