Ceilidh Nights

COMING SOON:   THE BIG WROCKWARDINE CEILIDH & BARBECUE, Saturday 10th June 2017, from  7.30pm – 11.30pm

Look forward to foot-tapping folk music from Odd Socks Band along with locally brewed real ale from just down the road in Wellington, and a locally-sourced barbecue from Ken Francis Butchers of Wellington. Tell your friends and join us for one of the best nights out of the summer…

How to get tickets

Tickets are £10 each / £5 for under 16s. They are available from Ken Francis Butchers (9 Market St, Wellington) or buy online by CLICKING HERE

The summer events get pretty busy, so we strongly advise you get tickets in advance – two years ago we were close to having to turn folks away at the door.

About our ceilidh events

We usually organise one or two ceilidhs a year – one on the second Saturday in June to round of the Midsummer Fayre, and sometimes one on the first Saturday in December. Both take place at the small but perfectly formed village hall at Wrockwardine (opposite the church), an ancient village that sits up on a hill, about a mile from Wellington.

Music is provided by Odd Socks – lead by caller Cannie Annie. These are fantastic events, and novices are always welcome – most of us haven’t got a clue what we’re doing on the dance floor, but that’s half the fun.
