THE NEXT ‘BIG WROCKWARDINE CEILIDH & BARBECUE’ takes place on Saturday 8th June 2019, from 7.30pm to 11.45pm – get your tickets today!
Look forward to foot-tapping folk music from Odd Socks Band along with locally brewed real ale from just down the road in Wellington, and a locally-sourced barbecue from Ken Francis Butchers of Wellington. Tell your friends and join us for one of the best nights out of the summer…
Tickets are £10 each / £5 for under 16s. They are available from Ken Francis Butchers (9 Market St, Wellington) or online via Ticket Source, following the link above.
Please do buy tickets in advance, either online or at the butchers shop – it helps us to plan how much food and drink to supply.
About our ceilidh events
The dance always takes place one on the second Saturday in June to round off the Midsummer Fayre at the small but perfectly formed village hall at Wrockwardine (opposite the church), an ancient village that sits up on a hill, about a mile from Wellington.
Music is provided by Odd Socks – lead by caller Cannie Annie. These are fantastic events, and novices are always welcome – most of us haven’t got a clue what we’re doing on the dance floor, but that’s half the fun.
