Ceilidh Nights

THE NEXT ‘BIG WROCKWARDINE CEILIDH & BARBECUE’ takes place on Saturday 9th June 2018, from  7.30pm – 11.30pm

Look forward to foot-tapping folk music from Odd Socks Band along with locally brewed real ale from just down the road in Wellington, and a locally-sourced barbecue from Ken Francis Butchers of Wellington. Tell your friends and join us for one of the best nights out of the summer…

How to get tickets

Tickets are £10 each / £5 for under 16s. They are available from Ken Francis Butchers (9 Market St, Wellington) from 1st May or buy online from this website from the same date.

The summer events get pretty busy, so we strongly advise you get tickets in advance – two years ago we were close to having to turn folks away at the door.

About our ceilidh events

We usually organise one ceilidh a year – one on the second Saturday in June to round off the Midsummer Fayre. takes place at the small but perfectly formed village hall at Wrockwardine (opposite the church), an ancient village that sits up on a hill, about a mile from Wellington.

Music is provided by Odd Socks – lead by caller Cannie Annie. These are fantastic events, and novices are always welcome – most of us haven’t got a clue what we’re doing on the dance floor, but that’s half the fun.
