Monthly Makers’ Markets

Wellington Market Company runs the town’s vast indoor market, open four days a week, and has done ever since the building was erected in the mid-19th Century. But since Summer 2012, they’ve also been running another little market in Wellington, once a month in Market Square – the historic home of market trading in the town.

With its range of locally-sourced produce, Wellington Makers’ Market offers something a bit different to what’s happening round the corner in the Market Hall. It’s been steadily building a loyal following amongst shoppers over the last year or so, and it’s certainly an asset to the town. But there’s room for more stalls and better promotion, so we want to spread the word!

The volunteers of Wellington H2A are keen to work with the Market Company to help whip up a bit more excitement around the monthly event. We think it deserves it.

So, if you’re a local food or craft-maker interested in joining the market, on the fourth Saturday of every month, please do get in touch via the Wellington Guild Facebook page or go direct to market manager Dave at Wellington Market Company.
